Together with our partners, we presented our policy proposals for accelerating the energy efficiency renovation of buildings in Hungary to Gergely Fábián, State Secretary for Industrial Policy and Technology, and Roland Papp, Head of the Department of the Ministry for Economic Development.
The recovery of the construction industry, tens of thousands of new jobs, increasing Hungarian competitiveness – according to NGOs, the business sector, and experts a large-scale building energy renovation programme would improve the quality of life of Hungarians, the country’s climate adaptation and its energy independence.
The coalition to accelerate building renovation in Hungary was initiated last autumn by the Equilibrium Institute and was joined by dozens of Hungarian and multinational companies, NGOs, and associations representing more than 600 stakeholders.
